How a plaque is made
From your phone to the laser to your door, here is the whole process.
1. You design it in the browser
Upload a photo and crop it inside the frame. The designer converts it to an engraving on the spot, so what you see is a faithful preview of the dots the laser will burn. Search for the song on Spotify or paste a link, add an optional line of text (names, a date, a lyric), pick the size, and turn the 3D preview around to check it from every angle.
2. You pay, we prepare the file
Once you pay, your exact design is rendered at 254 dots per inch, mirrored, and sent to the laser. Nothing is redrawn by hand, so the plaque matches the preview you approved.
3. Paint, engrave, fill
A sheet of 3 mm cast acrylic is cut to size and the back is sprayed matte black. A Creality 10 W diode laser then engraves the design through the paint. Where the laser removes paint, we fill with white by hand, so the photo, the text and the Spotify code appear crisp white against deep black when viewed through the clear front.
4. Check, pack, ship
We scan the code with the Spotify app to make sure it plays your song, inspect the engraving, and pack the plaque between foam sheets in a rigid box. Courier orders get a tracking number by email. Collections in Bloemfontein get a "ready to collect" email instead.
