Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we protect it, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect

• Order details: your name, email, phone number and delivery address, so we can make and deliver your order and send updates.
• Your design: the photo you upload, the song you choose and any text you add. These are needed to make the plaque.
• Payment: card payments are processed by Yoco. We receive a confirmation and a payment reference; we never receive your card number.
• Technical data: IP address and basic browser information in our server logs, used for security and to keep the site working.

How we use it

To make, deliver and support your order, to contact you about it, to comply with tax and consumer law, and to prevent fraud. We send marketing email only if you ask for it, and every such email has an unsubscribe link.

Your photos

Uploaded photos are stored on our server only to produce your order and handle any warranty claim. They are deleted 90 days after delivery. Designs that were never ordered are deleted after 30 days. We never use customer photos in marketing or share them, unless you give us written permission.

Who we share it with

Only the services needed to fulfil your order: our courier (name, phone and address), our payment processor Yoco (amount and order reference), our email provider (your email address), and Spotify (the track identifier, to generate the code). None of them may use your information for their own purposes.

Cookies

We use one strictly necessary session cookie to keep your cart and checkout together. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Your rights

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how it is used. Email orders@jllcr.co.za. You may also complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Design files are stored outside the public web folder and are only reachable through unguessable links. Access to orders is limited to the people who make and ship them.
